1. Description of Service
Kairn provides a platform for discovering, viewing, and evaluating campgrounds. Our service includes our proprietary "Solitude Score," which utilizes field-mapped data (including LiDAR references and acoustic testing telemetry) to mathematically estimate site boundaries privacy gradients and ambient environmental noise thresholds.
2. Nature and Accuracy of Data
While we pride ourselves on replacing guesswork with calculation models, nature is inherently dynamic and unpredictable.
Environmental Flux: Over time, trees fall, seasonal foliage thickness alters, Access Profiles degrade, and regional campground management crews shift designated site footprints. Our Solitude Scores and visual tracking metrics are strictly reflections of ground data captured at a static point in time by field teams.
Disclaimer of Warranties: Kairn provides the platform assets explicitly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" compliance basis. We make no express or implied warranties regarding the absolute current validity, real-time accuracy, or long-term reliability of field pad conditions or generated Solitude Scores.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
The mapping technologies, interface calculations, and core data layers—specifically including our laser-verified buffers, acoustic floor tracking files, and Solitude Score data algorithms—are the exclusive intellectual property of Kairn.
- You may not scrape, harvest, data-mine, reproduce, or commercially resell our telemetry or site imagery files.
- You may not reverse-engineer our proprietary Solitude Score methodology framework.
4. Third-Party Services
Our application framework integrates deeply with map engine services, most notably Mapbox and tracking frameworks, to serve accurate geographical boundaries. By initializing map components, your operations are also subject to the regulatory conditions set forth by third-party terms of layout processing.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Kairn or its corporate parent company, Caliper Marketing LLC, nor its directors, technicians, field scouts, or partners, be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your configuration or interface navigation.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed exclusively in accordance with the state laws of Minnesota, United States, without regard to any localized conflict of law provisions.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the operational right to modify, adjust, or replace these Terms at any structural point. If a modification changes material user access parameters significantly, we will attempt to post a clear announcement notification at least 30 days prior to the operational active enforcement date.
